This girl, above, lives in Marin County, at the northern tip of the Golden Gate Bridge. She is a mom of two small, astoundingly energetic boys. When she’s not chasing after her kids, she’s pulling her hair out or throwing a tantrum all her own. Occassionally, she acts like a grownup. Not often.

She is…

many things, among them a civic employee, a writer, and a freelance editor. She is a former member of ‘B’ Street Writers and her stories have been published or are forthcoming in Static Movement Online, Wheelhouse Magazine, Boston Literary Magazine, Tiny Lights Online, Clever Magazine, and The Rose & Thorn. Her poetry has been published in The Verse Marauder, Lachryma: Modern Songs of Lament, and Farmhouse Magazine. Particular interests include: coffee, hospital cuisine, baby-making music, superior cosmetics and lowbrow treatments from your kitchen pantry, historical fiction, the British Monarchy, wifedom, and other assorted pastimes.

    Hey,
I quickly read some of your stuff and you’ve got a neat point of view – especially liked your ‘dribble’. Just something to pass along that I found more interesting then I (as a ’serious’ writer) thought I should and that was a Book by Janet Evanovitch about how she writes. (I listened to the cd while on my treadmill.) Of course, her methods work for her and maybe nobody else but I found myself thinking more and more about what she said. I’ve now started to employ some of her recommendations in my attempt to “get on with it” and find that I’m writing more. Give her a listen – who knows…

    Mary June,
I just read “Bingo in Modern Times” and loved it. You have great talent as a writer and I’m sure you’ll attain your writing goals.

I appreciated your comments about book authors, being one myself. It is a tremendous task to conceive and execute an entire novel–an achievement not everyone appreciates (not even my wife and kids).

    Best of luck!

  3. Hi Kid! How’s it going? Looking great in the photos. Drop me a line. Hope all is well. Nice to see you blogging again regularly.
